Hi, I’m Norma, the baker behind Sourdough Rose.
I grew up in San Diego and never imagined that one day I’d be baking and selling sourdough-but three years ago, everything changed.
When my daughter developed sensitivities to certain foods, I began exploring sourdough as a gentler, more nourishing option for her. What started as a way to care for my family slowly became a passion. Through that season, I learned to slow down, trust the process, and steward what was placed in my hands-lessons that continue to shape both my baking and my life.
Today, I bake is small batches using traditional sourdough methods, simple ingredients, and a lot of care. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this work, serve my community, and create food meant to be shared and enjoyed.
